anyway i read lifestyle today and this article on 'deathbed regrets' is so dang true man..
Deathbed regrets also tell why play matters. Topping the list of regrets when people look back is this: "I wish i had not taken life so seriously."
The writers say: "In all our years of counselling patients at the edge of life, we have never had one person look at us and say, "If only i could have worked an extra day of the week."
People do review their achievements with pride, but if those were not balanced by high points in their personal life, what remains ultimately is an emptiness.
The writers conclude:"The primary lesson the dying teach us is to live everyday to its fullest."
Then they ask:"When was the last time you really looked at the sea? Or smelled the morning? Touched a baby's hair? Really tasted and enjoyed food? Walked barefoot in the grass? Looked into the bluesky?"
"These are all the experiences that, for all we know, we may never get again. It's always eye-opening to hear the dying say that they just want to see the stars one more time, or to gaze out on the ocean."
"Many of us live near the ocean but never take the time to look at it. We all live under the stars, but do we look up at the sky?"
"Dont wait for one last look at the ocean, the sky, the stars or a loved one.Go look now"
If your journey isn't over yet, make time today to play.
haha i can proudly declare i just played in the rain just last week! Its a real liberating feeling. Get your hair messed up, get your shoes wet from jumping into puddles, but who cares? Just play.
