i think im stuck in a rut now. Im merely counting the months before i get to graduate and get my diploma.. Why? cause i wanna go overseas for my degreee.... If possible spend a few years working there too. Its not like im some ingrate who's not gonna come back to singapore to contribute to the economy or sth but i just think we're all stuck in this stupid cycle here. We work our ass off daily to support ourselves enabling us to lead a comfortable life and we get our high/satisfaction through spending money.
Meanwhile, life just passes us by as we mug senselessly for tests, meeting datelines, getting projects done for others, working... Thats it, the day's over for me. I didnt have quality time to spend with the people i love, catching up on their lives, reflecting on everything and anything, doing things i enjoy, getting to know myself, getting to know where im heading in life.
I dont know how different will it be overseas, maybe i'll hate it, but i just need to know if things can be different elsewhere. We're all searching for that place where each of us can find peace again. Im gonna start looking after i get my diploma done.
As far as i know, singapore doesnt hold much promise for the things i want to do.. we all know whats it like here, dreams get killed, reality takes over. Maybe once i've learnt much more, gained more experience and decided on one area im gonna stick with but til then singapore needs and wants to see qualifications.
where will i be going then? Most likely the Sports & outdoor recreation degree from monash university in aussie.. The field trips are so so cool. Kayaking camps, snow trekking, bush walks etc. =) Prospects may not be great but who cares. The aussie landscape is waiting for me! Everyone's saying 'hey take physiotherapy/sports science, better still get a Dr in front of ur name'. High paying but its not my thing. well, right now, im back to reality. EFMA test tmr and a whole load of projs are waiting for me. help...
