If I ever need to run away to the edge of this place, pasir ris beach would be the perfect place to stare at the shores beyond. It wouldn’t really hold sadness, it’s a place to lose yourself. But it takes two to get the world spinning, whether sitting down, upside down or just hanging on to the contents in your tummy. C’mon were we even nineteen then, I felt like eight, away from all thoughts except learning how to go faster and faster and not puke. The sun and the coke it’s the life, but it kind of doesn’t go well with the spinning. So after all the one-handed riding with popsicles and ice cream in the hands, I know who to look for when I need to be a kid again. Glad, I’ve gotten her back in her wordpress.
This is uber cute and hilarious, there was this unsuspecting little girl whose mum plonked her on this small seat that spins and spins whenever you move. Her mum did gave her a little push to start with and she was off to a slow start, so round and round she went and it started picking up speed. Gripping on for her dear life, she started shouting to her mum who was innocently taking a video of this and the girl who by now felt quite offended by how dizzying the ride seemed to be getting went like:
Little girl: Stoppppp! I said STOPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP…
And she was like spinning and spinning
Little girl: DON’T. (spin) EVER. (spin) DO. THIS. (spin) AGAINNNnnnnnnn...
That sounded quite like the ultimatum, so her mum stopped the chair, albeit still laughing.
Even before the little girl got a chance to catch her breath and because the chair is shaped like a bowl, while she was leaning back to ride out the dizzyness… she found herself spinning crazily again, without assistance this time, picking up full speed in a matter of seconds.
Gawd, the next moment was classic, she wasn’t gonna cry, she just sounded really offended, because can u imagine stopping from such dizzying spinning with such relief only to find yourself spinning at full speed. She went like: ‘STOPPPppppppPPPPPppppppPPPPPpppppPPPP…’ with such a face, the way it does when ur spinning and shouting at the same time at the person who you thought supposedly started the spinning again. Even her mum had to take a moment to get a picture of her poor kid sounding so outraged before going to the little girl’s rescue by simply putting her hand down on the chair. For all that spinning, which would have left me sick, she got off, took awhile to get oriented and ran, ready for the next obstacle.
That’s one girl, I would approve of. =)
